    What is the difference between this C6 to C7 cord and a standard C7 power cord?
    A standard C7 power cord has a C7 female (figure-8) on the device end and a wall plug (NEMA 1-15P for North America, Europlug for Europe, etc.) on the other end. It connects a device directly to a wall outlet. This C6 to C7 cord has a C6 male plug instead of a wall plug – meaning it is an extension cord that must be plugged into a power supply or another cord that has a C6 female inlet (or C5 female, as C6 plug fits C5). It does not plug directly into a wall outlet.

    Can I plug this cord directly into a wall outlet?
    The C6 male plug is not designed for wall outlets. Wall outlets accept NEMA (North America), Europlug (Europe), BS1363 (UK), or other regional plug types – not IEC C6 connectors. To use this cord, you need a power source that outputs via a C6 male or a separate adapter.

    Will this work with my PlayStation 5?
    Yes, if used correctly. The PS5 has a C8 inlet (figure-8). The C7 female end of this cord will plug directly into your PS5. The C6 male end must then be plugged into either: A power supply with a C6 output (rare for PS5 – not the original Sony cord) Or, more commonly, a standard C7 power cord that has a C8 male on one end and a wall plug on the other. Connect that standard C7 cord to your wall outlet, then connect the C6 male end of this cord into the C8 female end of the standard cord. This works because C6 male fits into C8 female.

    What is H03VVH2-F and why does it matter?
    H03VVH2-F is a harmonized European standard for light-duty flat PVC power cable. The designation breaks down as: H03 – Harmonized cord, 300/300V rating VV – PVC insulation and PVC sheath H2 – Flat, non-twisted, 2-conductor construction F – Fine stranded copper (flexible) This standard ensures the cable meets specific safety, flexibility, and temperature requirements for use with consumer electronics.

    What is the maximum power (wattage) this cord can handle?
    At 230V (European standard), 2x0.75mm² copper conductors can typically handle 6A-10A, equating to 1380W - 2300W. At 120V (North America), this is 720W - 1200W. Most devices using C8 inlets (PS5, soundbars, projectors) draw well under 300W, so this cord is more than adequate. For high-power appliances (space heaters, large air conditioners), do not use this cord.

    Is this cord polarized? Does orientation matter?
    Both C6 and C7 connectors are non-polarized. The two pins are identical, and the cable can be inserted in either orientation. This is standard for double-insulated (Class II) devices that do not require a ground connection.
