First, the cable materials are different
Low-smoke halogen-free cable: halogen-free (F, Cl, Br, I, At) rubber insulation without lead, cadmium, chromium, mercury and other environmental substances.
Mineral insulated cable: between the magnesium oxide (inorganic material) sheath and the metal core is a layer of compacted magnesium oxide insulation.
Second, the cable performance is different
Low-smoke halogen-free cable: It does not release halogen-containing gas during combustion, and the concentration of smoke is low. The working temperature can reach 150 °C. The radiation-crosslinking process can achieve the flame-retardant effect of the cable, which is in line with the EU's environmental protection cable.
Mineral insulated cable: It will not burn, it will not support combustion, it will not produce harmful gas. It can maintain normal energization for 3 hours at 1000 °C flame temperature, strong electrical stability, long service life and large current capacity.
Third, the cable rated voltage and use are different
Low-smoke halogen-free cable: Suitable for places with rated voltage of 450/750V and below, with no halogen, low smoke, flame retardant requirements and high safety and environmental protection requirements. Such as high-rise buildings, stations, subways, airports, hospitals, libraries, family houses, hotels, hospitals, office buildings, schools, shopping malls and other crowded places
Mineral insulated cable: Suitable for places with rated voltage of 0.6/1KV and below, with flame retardant, fireproof, soft and high temperature resistance requirements. Such as petrochemical, airports, tunnels, ships, offshore oil platforms, aerospace, steel metallurgy, shopping centers, parking lots and other occasions.
